CHALKIAS RACING TEAM
AT THE TOP OF THE RALLY ACROPOLIS 2025
The Halkias Racing Team reached the top of this year’s Acropolis Rally with the Renault Clio Rally3.
Powerful performance, thrilling effort, and impressive results! Once again, the Halkias Racing Team and Themis Halkias proved they belong at the top! Passion, consistency, and racing determination at every turn! Themis Halkias, with co-driver Nikolaos-Adam Komnos, took part in this year’s Acropolis Rally (part of the WRC) under the Halkias Racing Team name, with their brand-new race car: the factory-built Renault Clio Rally3. This marked Themis Halkias’s 17th participation in the Acropolis Rally, making him once again the driver with the most starts in the event’s history.
The Renault Clio Rally3 was developed by Alpine Racing, at the brand’s racing factory in Dieppe, France. Its 1.3-liter four-cylinder turbo engine delivers 260 horsepower and 415Nm of torque, while power is transmitted to all four wheels via a 5-speed sequential gearbox, making the Clio Rally3 the brand’s first all-wheel-drive rally car.
The race for the Halkias Racing Team went smoothly, with the goal being simply to reach the finish ramp. The only issue was a flat tire during the Pavliani 2 special stage, which fortunately did not cost them any positions. The result reflected the crew’s experience and the capabilities of the Renault Clio Rally3:
- 2nd place among Greek crews
- 5th place in the WRC3 World Championship
After the race, Themis Chalkias stated:
“Another Acropolis Rally ends with us on the finish ramp — and this time on the second step of the podium among Greek crews. It was one of the toughest Acropolis Rallies of my career. The extremely high temperatures, long distances, and rough special stages really tested us, but we managed to bring back the Renault Clio Rally3 in one piece, proving not only its speed but also its outstanding reliability. We thank the organizers, the officials, and the spectators. See you in 2026.”
